Apathy, Negativity, and Realism: An Odin Essay

Many of the times in these worlds we are forced to come to readily prepared opinions upon the state of someones personality. That person is negative we might say, or that person is positive.

Perhaps even we use these things as a catagorization of friendship of likability: I won't date negative guys.... I won't be a friend to a overtly postive girl.

However, only within the bounds of Apathy, Negativity, and Realish do we really se the vices and virtues of a thought pattern.

Say what you will about the naive implications of a positive person, their inability to experience true joy or true loss maintained within the simple bonded experience of a "up" life.
However, this kind of attitude lends itself to an overall (albeit disengenuously real sometimes) high quality of life.

The candide syndrome must still be avoided, as the best of all things can be taken advantage of, but a positive mental outlook avails itself of few negative implications.

The Realism attitude, which contains within itself the two tennants of negativity and apathy, is forced into play often with those jaded individuals that feel theirs is a valid viewpoint , overlooked.

Realism, however, is a disease much within the same light as overt positivity can be. Realism denies the basic principle of overall growth and accepts that the things that we see and experience are the "truth" of the world and canot be changed. Now this in turn often leads to apathy as described by an overall disappearance of the simple thought that the world can be changed.

Even things as simple as your life being changed can and will be destroyed by the pernicious disease of apathetic thought. That things will be what they will be, is something I myself have battled over the years. However, believing in the overall depression of ones life or the world only brings the virus upon yourself. The difficult part is that in of itself, apathy is a virus. It spreads itself out into your circle of friends and infects itself into the world.

Realistic thought is brought to bay when overall unrealistic theory is made present. For Example: A company or experience cannot succeed because others have failed in front. Therefore you will not succeed, therefore better not to try at all.

However these things are not just manifested within the inner monologue of a person, but the almost require the "divine" belief that the challenge must be stopped, merely because it's own path clashes with the idealistic Realism present.

These things are often manifested in the hypocritical action of a Realism based apathetic person trying against ALL ODDS to tear down and pick at people or ideas in conflict with their basic beliefs.

The difficult portion of the Realism based faith is that you feel it is within your divine duty to expose those within the other sects of life to Realism. A veritable protsletyzing within the sects of mental attitude.

The difficulty within all this is that unfortunately apathy and negativity are often the easy way out of the situation. They dictate your example and set forth the path of least resistance until you use them unconsciously. Instead of "this problem could be solved" the mindless message you extoll is "why even try, it won't fix anything" and within those examples lies the problem.

When something becomse easier many people latch onto it. They create a set form of rules and regulations surrounding it and incorporate "IT" into their everyday life.

This viewpoint has almost completely corrupted the average office worker, to the point of desperation based hoplessness. It isn't the overall crushing of dreams from the world, but instead PEOPLE TELLING you that the world is going to crush your dreams.

The fantastic hypocrisy that Realism based people live within is the casual disregard of others ideas at the base of their own trend based realistic ideals. They fail to recognize that at it's base, realism is grounded within the same things that all mental attitudes are based within. Trend following and mindless non-questioning. Their is no Real within Realism, because the Real does not exist. Things that you see and hear are constantly being manipulated by your own sensors (eyes, ears, nose) or others sesors (their actions, speaking, countenance) to create it's own set value of real. Therefore, when a Realism based person proclaims that all are sheep, he is only echoing what other Realism based people are extolling about their various targets.

I myself happen to believe firmly that negativity has its place within the world, but you must be carefull of its uses and application.

However, apathy and the systematic destruction of ones viewpoints simply because they differ seem to me (note: the whole basis of the essay) to be the cheap and cheaters way out.

The goal then is not Obstinate Positivity, but a carefull blend of positive and negative messages self contained within the mind. Checks and Balances that both feed and remove various impulses that could be displayed.

Of course this in and of itself could lead to mindless noodling, so I ask this question. Does any of this really matter?

My answer is yes, but your answer should only matter to you because I have already defined what "this" and "matter" mean to me.

This is why art, music, and taste are subjective and better left to the individual.

So in conclusion, form your own ideas about what has been written here, as even within my "propaganda" my own issues present themselves.

I find it very difficult to propagate and study positive negativity, but anything is better than an apathetic soul.
