Sweet mini-epic (pics inside)

Wednesday, my buddy nate and I took it upon ourselves to take a nice long ride in the woods. For you statisticians out there, it was 23 miles 2.5 hours of riding, 3300 vert accrued. Location: somewhere in Colorado. It was sweet singletrack, fast high speed, ending in a 4 mile downhill. Everything was nice and green, except some of the burned out sections, which are recovering from the fires of 2000 (i think)

HJ, i have you to thank for the first tour, went back with a map and hit a few of the side trails. Once again, like you said, Cresent canyon saves you from the weather, kinda. ;) There were some nasty thunderstorms on the other side of the ridge, booming, right at the same place it started it snowing last time. I started thinking "here we go again" but it never came over the ridge and we stayed dry.

Looks like a nice ride. Going through a burned area can offer some beautiful sights especially if you stop and look at the new vegetation coming up from the ashes.

Those trails look in great condition. Looks like perfect ride. I'd have to work on doing the 3300 vert though.;)

Nice Crinkle, very nice. I love the sight of some nice singletrack.

I was there today. I love those trails! So smooth and cruisy. Hayman Fire in 2002, BTW.

Wow, those look incredible. I like the challenge of the more tech stuff, but those are so nice and wide open, be nice to just kinda forget about things and rip.

Oops...I was thinking of a different trail. Buffalo Creek sucks. I dont see why you guys like it so much;)

I rode it tuesday after work, and saw exactly ZERO people ! mid week is the only way to ride that place !
