Bobbin problems
I have a bobbin that came in a kit that appears to have a bur in it or something. I used it the other day and after like 10 wraps it cuts the thread. Is there any way to fix it? Should I keep it for wire thread?
I went out and bought a Griffin and the new one works fine.

the bobbin will often have a little piece of plastic or something in the tip to protect the thread. if this is gone, bobbin is best used for wire.
if you can find a bur and can get some sandpaper in there, see if you can smooth it out.

chuck it and buy another. or I can lend you one

bobbin burr
A good way to de-burr your bobbin is to pull a bit of mono back and forth thru the tube. You'll know quickly if it's a throw away..

Bobbins are relatively cheap.
