Extremely pissed off.

For the 3rd day in a row. Its just a basic rage, that varies from ticked to bile-spitting.
Maybe its the asshats at work that are talking about the awesome shit they did while playing battlefield 2 the day before, or how global warmings/coolings are fucking everything up. SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING MORONS! DONT YOU HAVE SOME FUCKING WORK TO DO?
Maybe its the fucktards that I get to deal with everyday driving to and from Utard County, who a) ride my ass with their high-beams on (im driving 75 in the right lane, pass already, vagina!) or b) the stupid stupid 21 year old girl who doesnt have her lights on at 615 in the morning and riding my ass.
Maybe its my dad who couldnt shut his yap last night, or when he not talking, he turns the volume up waaaaay too loud on the movie, because "it makes it more like a movie theater". Neither of us are deaf or slightly hard of hearing. Or, best yet, when the movie is fucking loud, and hes talking through most of the movie. Shut the fuck up Dad! I love you to no end, but for the love of God, SHUT THE FUCK UP SOMETIMES! Im around noisy shit all day, id like a few hours of quiet when i get home.
Maybe its my Dads girlfriend, who is super nice, but dammit, you need to learn some spontaneity! Quit asking why things are happening in a movie. Just watch and see the outcome with the rest of us.
Maybe its Boss #1 who is a pompous ass, and buys things cuz "its badass!" and not for any practical use. Or when you get his attention, you have it exactly 3.21 seconds before he walks away. He doesnt care about design, just getting some shit out and getting the money. Seriously, i could show you our 4 biggest developments and youd have a hard time finding the differences in floor plans. There are 3 layouts we use: Straight, Corner and Angle.
Or you could deal with Boss #2, who is George McFly embodied. LEARN TO PUT 2 WORDS TOGETHER WITHOUT STUTTERING, DUMBASS!
Or to the owner of the Firehouse Carwash, LEARN TO MAKE A FUCKING DECISION! Dont get pissy with us for not getting your project going because you dont give us any damn guidance as to what you want in your building.

Before you all jump on my ass for being such a whiney bitch and not fixing my own shit, you need to know that I AM FIXING MY OWN SHIT. I fucking hate the commute, so im looking for job back down in the UC, but i doubt ill find a place as good as it is up here, mostly because the masses in the UC are unreasonably conservative. i dont want to move up here because im a fucking cheap bastard, and living with my dad is FREE. Yes, there are compromises, but my dad knows well that i dont have the luxury of sleeping in/being retired. He also knows that when i get tired, i get cranky. Yet still, i dont get to bed before 11, and usually to sleep til midnight, because he walking around upstairs.

Anyway, im done for now, and this is about the only venue i can do this in.

It's frustrating to be in a place you don't want to be, making slooooow progress getting out of there, and then you get amazingly fucking angry at a bunch of shit you might overlook if life was going your way--even a little bit.

Skip the Prozac. You don't sound depressed, you sound annoyed and sleep deprived. Even if you were, Prozac is obsolete.

Buy some earplugs (silicon) for sleeping. Maybe Zolpidem, in small doses, carefully.

And get rid of the commute ASAP.

Meanwhile - wade in to some inflammatory thread like Godzilla nursing a hangover with a Red Bull. Guaranteed to be therapeutic. :D

Thanks Sprite :) Its rare i get angry for so long at pretty insignificant things like this.
Bagtag, Prozac is the last thing id want to be on. Id rather have to deal with the occasional shitty depression and then really get into those amazing highs of life than be kept in a false, constant happiness by drugs. I dont mean to talk down to those that really need it, some people do for sure, but i think alot of people in "The Church" are too spineless and unmotivated to deal with real feeling and emotions.

Encore, I work in an architects office.

David, you hit it right on the head. I think for the past 3 or 4 months, ive been getting about maybe 5 hours of sleep a night, its really taking a toll. Im totally trying to ditch the commute, it'll happen soon. It will be hard to move jobs, its a great office im in. Sure the projects may suck balls, but i really like my co-workers.

Exercise. Even if you feel tired when you get home from work, go ride a bike or jog or lift weights or whatever for an hour or two every afternoon.

Then about an hour before you want to go to bed take some melatonin. I've heard that it works even better if you take small doses every 20 minutes to a half hour beginning an hour or two before bedtime.

Get out of your parent's house. Your an adult, living with your parents is just one more point of stress in your life. Paying rent on an apartment is less stressful than living with people who's schedule/lifestyle you're incompatible with.

Eat right, avoid overly processed crap from cans and boxes.

Don't like your bosses? Make sure that resume's up to date and start applying at other companies.

You sound a lot like my housemate, who's getting the boot at the end of this year because I'm tired of listening to him constantly bitch about his job and of the fact that he's always mad about something. He can take his negative energy and go stew in it somewhere else.

Find time to go for a walk and curse at the wind. Get the fuck out of the situation for even 10 minutes and just let the angst flow out - Architecture sucks when pissed.

Find a nugget of gold in the design and hang to it - perfect it - claim it as yours - even if the overall work is a glorified 2 story shit shack - It makes the day go much better.
