Glove recomendation

So with my birthday coming up I was thinking I might ask the misses for a new pair of gloves.

Was thinking something fairly lightweight and softshellish, since i can't stand big heavy gloves. I typically only use liner type gloves, but want something a bit more waterproof/wind resistant and breathable after having my liners get soaked through on multiple occasions this weekend

Some ones i have checked out

BD Pilot glove
MH Fulcrum
or possible the Marmot Spring Glove but they may be too bulky

So basically looking for a lighterweight softshellish type glove opinions

If you are checking out the Spring Glove, look at the BD Impulse glove. Alpinist Glove from Marmot is also pretty sick. A little more of a glove that is great, light and have great dexterity is the Cloudveil Chopper glove.

i use the dakine cobra glove. really comfortable, easy to maneuver with, lightweight, warm, and its gore-tex. great glove. also i hear the hestra morrison glove is really good.

I tried Dakine cobra glove and didn't like it as much as an all leather glove. I've been using a leather dakine glove like these for 3 years at about 50 days per year. Dakine Duke. They keep my fingers warm even though they just have a simple leather and fleece. I think they work so well cause the leather is really breathable and my hands don't get clammy. Also Hestra gloves or cloudveil are really nice. I would say anything that is leather would be good. Haven't heard great things abotu the marmot glove you speak of, but I haven't tried them myself either.

I'm intrigued by the Reusch Pike's Peak glove. Appears to be dextrous as fuck, low profile and sports an eVent membrane. On sale too......

A glove other than Hestra being dexterous as fuck! Blasphemy!!!!!

I've got an Arcteryx Stinger glove that I love. Ice climbing glove, about 2/3 leather, rest soft shell. Dexterous and very warm given how thin it is. Picked it up local at an end of season thing for 40, which I believe was half off. Given that retail is having problems this year you may well find them at that price again soon.

Yea dude im with ya! I have a pair of Dakine Mustang's and they rock!!! I use them in any weather, for seriously cold weather I have to throw a pair of handwarmers in em.

I just got a pair of Hestra Anthony B's I haven't used em yet, they are a little more bulky but feel alright.

+1 on Dakine. I've got the Charger spring glove (softshell top w/leather palm) as well as some Dakine gore tex mittens (not sure which model) for really cold days. The Chargers are warm enough that I only break out the mittens about 2x/year.

POW Gloves, Re stealth or Murkin

I trashed a pair of Marmot Spring Gloves in about 5 days. As in seams coming apart, had to ducttape back together trashed.

I had the same type question and just bought the dakine navigator.

Schoeller knuckle , leather palm and fingers, light lining. I'll post how they do when I get them out there this weekend.
