P18 Foward pressure question

I have P18s mounted on a pair of skis. When mounted, I used bsl 312mm boots. I also have a pair of bsl 307mm boots that I actually prefer. There does not seem to be too much (or any) play in the heelpiece of the P18. However, there are two screws at the back arms of the heelpiece which I think are used to control forward pressure. Is it possible to adjust these bindings to accommodate my 307mm bsl w/out remounting? How much play is there? Is is a difficult thing to do? Thanks.

Those screws do adjust forward pressure. 307 and 312 is iffy I think you have about 3 mms of play for forward pressure but I could be wrong. Try it and report back.

I have never heard of a binding that couldn't adjust 5 mm in either direction. If they were mounted correctly for a 312 mm boot sole 307 should be no problem. There are threads which discuss how to set forward pressure on P18s. search.
