Knee Cortisone Injection Question...

How long do I need to wait before I exercise the joint?

I had an injection today into the lateral compartment of my knee to calm down some arthritis and fat pad impingement. Is it safe to go surf today (pain permitting) or do I need to wait a day or two after the injection? Doc said to take it a little easier today than usual, but didn't say "don't do" this or that...

I've always given it a day or so.

I'd wait a couple days. Usually they inject some local anesthetic with the cortisone, this will make things feel really good but will also dull any sense you have of pain.

Good thing I didn't go. Last night and today the thing was/is sore as a hell! (should have paid attention to NorCascader's post).
