All this time I've been a slave to waxing my skis. Nice to know modern skis don't ever ever need wax thanks to the one man that makes ski bases!
This is exactly why ski shops struggle. Numb nuts like these put people on the wrong gear, tell them the wrong things, then the customer goes skiing resulting in a horrible time. More people would like skiing if they didn't get their info from morons like these.
Whew... sorry I couldn't respond earlier as I was busy making all of the ski bases for the skis for next year. Certainly no need to wax the bases as they are all well impregnated when they leave the shop. No joke, really, I make them all... seriously. I could not stop laughing when I read that garbage. Well, back to making the bases.
Well...it does emphasize good boot fitting, so they got one thing right...
LOL, I've seen that before...why is it crazy people ALWAYS capitalize things in their writing...it's like they want to make it REALLY OBVIOUS that you would think they were a NUTJOB if you saw them in real life.

fwiw ski trucks is a pretty fun place to go look at gear....you don't really want to talk to the proprietors because it will make your head hurt, but the last time I was there there were 225 red sleds, 223 Valdez extremes, flexons, I got a pair of 957's that looked like they'd never even been clicked into...downhill poles from the 80s. Wood skis from the 30s....It's just a dungeon of classic gear.
but yeah, they don't really know what they're doing at all.
edit: I read the other threads and apparently I'm the only one amused by this place. I guess sifting through giant piles of obsolete gear to find treasure is just a welcome stroll down memory lane for me.
Looks like i better get the silicone spray out so i can really get moving. Finally!
