the small one is only 3" long legs
The large one is 6" long legs
The legs are v shaped at 90 degrees.
This fits right onto a ski pole, just under the hand grip. when velcro'd on it is rather snug and doesn't seem to fall or rotate easily. I may need to use some sticky back sandpaper on the pole to allow a better grip of the device.
My intent is to use this for in motion ski video with video Camera. and for taking pictures.
Past experiance holding the video camera while skiing produces shaky hard to maintain steady frame footage. My hope here is that while attached to the ski pole, I have a firm grip on the pole grip as normal. The lenght of the pole allows me to maintain a more steady camera.
Additionaly when I stop to shoot buddy comming down at me and past, I can kneel on the ground using the ski pole as the tripod again producing better footage.
The device easily goes on and off of the pole via the velcro strap, and is small enough to fit in a pocket easily. Possibly even left attached to the camera in the bag.
Also this may be usefull to attach the camera to my back pack shoulder strap and make a poor mans helmet cam.
I will let you all know how it works out.
