Thirteen inches of snow stranded a thousand people in Wyoming, 1961

November 2003 - October 2004
Winter will be relatively mild. Although most days will be milder than normal, cold air will dominate between Christmas and New Year, in early February, and in early to mid-November. Expect above-normal precipitation, with most spots getting more snow than normal. The most widespread snow will occur during late December and early February, with the heaviest rainfalls in mid-November, early and mid-January, and early February
Over the next couple weeks the storm track will start moving south. This will be accelerated through the coming weekend as the Pacific High begins to break up and allows the jetstream to drop south. It will probably first drop way south bringing some rain until the weekend following the coming one. But right about that time it'll start drawing on the Alaskan gulf moisture and snow lines will begin to drop.Quote:
