Is the spine bolted or riveted? I’d start by removing one at a time and see how it goes. If he gets strong before he outgrows the boots you can reinstall the bolt as needed....

IMO, Proski should buy you a new set of skis and use yours as a training pair for the tech that fucked them up. Mistakes happen, but failure to own it is unacceptable. It’s suspicious that they identified the mistake after the first ski and got the second one right, or just got lucky I guess. If they...

Man, that sucks. Did they tell you any of this before they took the skis in? It sounds to me like they messed up on the insert depth. Do the inserts look flush or countersunk below the topsheet?

I don’t see how a ski that’s thick enough for the drill depth is too thin for the insert.

I have an unskied pair of MTN that I want to trade for alpinists for a pair of BMT94 that are already drilled for them. I have several brake sizes to choose from for the MTN. I don't need brakes for the alpinists....
