My new startup venture is developing an AT binding that is truly a tech binding (not "low tech"). It will link to your phone via Bluetooth for GPS/mapping, switch walk/ski based on the transition points, and flip the climbing risers between flat/medium/high depending on the local slope gradient...😂 2Leave a comment:

I'm far from an expert on this. If you watch skimo races or that type of thing, they are taking rapid short strides uphill more than using any glide. Of course they are aerobic monsters, but there isn't much glide to be had uphill or with full skins. If there were a stride benefit to the metatarsal...Leave a comment:

If you operate something like a ski area under a special use permit from the USFS, typically I believe there is language that if you stop operating, you have to remediate the impact.
