Buzzworthy, I hope the surgery helps!
I would be interested in seeing new studies of methods of meniscus repairs.
I am curious if the 4 sports med docs (not surgeons) that I’ve seen and the 2 PT’s that have helped me are all basically referring to those older studies....

Perhaps the advice, if that is what you’re really looking for, is asking the surgeons about reasonable expectations of the outcome after the surgery and recovery.Leave a comment:

Rest in peace, Bob Lee. Condolences to your family and friends.
Wish I’d met him in person. Almost felt like a mentor on this forum and ttips. He seemed like such a good guy.
here is the FB thread (hopefully the link works) that was started when the forum went down yesterday...👍 1Leave a comment:

My advice would be a second opinion after discussing with surgeon #1, maybe from a physiatrist who is an athlete and skier. You sounds like you’re ready and wanting surgery, and it sounded like in the tkr thread that you had a window of time where surgery will be cheap due to already reaching your...👍 1Leave a comment:

At minimum, you’re feeding the economy and padding some early retirement nest eggs. I wonder when UHC will start denying authorizations for them.Leave a comment:

Slightly flipped situation in my household. My wife was kind but assertive to me about their necessary boundaries with extended family/in-laws, and she’s very proactive in developing and executing solutions to keep those boundaries in place. It’s sometimes been awkward with extended family, but...Leave a comment:

Thanks for the input so far about Toyota wagons/cuv’s (whatever the fuck you want to call them). The corolla cross is the obvious update to an awd matrix. My wife has always been swooned by the crv’s and rav’s from an aesthetics and practicality standpoint. My mom bought a 2025 rav plug in hybrid,...Leave a comment:

I had to take a break while reading parable of the sower. It was too intense for me at times. It is really good. Hopefully, I can get through Talents.
I really liked Kindred and I look forward to watching the HBO adaptation at some point.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the PSA! My solution has always been to pour the rest of my coffee on the key core area, which hasn’t always worked.
my Thule was purchased used in 2006. It’s long and skinny. I’ve easily fit 204’s in it. It lives on one of my vehicles outdoors full time....Leave a comment:

I am a fan. I can tolerate pain fairly well, too. I saw her with DSO a few times, which I thought would be weird (2 DONNAS!?), but it was always pretty fun. Martin Fierro sat in each of those DSO shows, too. Most recently, I enjoyed her contributions to the Deadcast..Leave a comment:

Got a nite core nu33 for my older kid. I fiddled with it a little bit. Seemed pretty cool. Will see what he thinks about it over time. He’ll probably put it through some paces.
i was given a Coast RL30R as a gift. It has a voice activation mode, which i usually have turned off, but it...Leave a comment:

Starting to think about replacing our awd matrix or maybe adding to the stable. Focusing on Toyota (we love our mechanics), wagon/hatch, awd, and hybrid. Biggest performance issue with our matrix is that’s it’s gutless and gets pretty poor mileage. Corolla cross, rav4, venza, and what else (Lexus?)?...Leave a comment:

The novel “Eva Sleeps” is part historical fiction of the 20th century story of south Tirol. I found the story of the recent history of the area to be fascinating and something that I knew very little of prior to reading the book: https://www.europaeditions.com/book/...237/eva-sleepsLeave a comment:
