Where did you mount your 191s? Was planning on using the hoji method which would put me at -1 from recommended.

Interesting that hoji has increased the tip rocker on the new renegade. I scored some of marshals UT122 and the tip rocker looks very similar to the new renegade. The UT122 has much more taper in the tip than the renegade, guessing that’s coming from Marshals dps-lotus background. The recommended...Leave a comment:

I watched Billy Poole die in Wolverine Cirque from what didn’t really appear to be a nasty fall. All it takes is hitting one rock the wrong way to end it all. Took a super bad fall on bike in the PNW a month ago that could’ve easily ended up really bad, but just bruised ribs and hip and some dirt...Leave a comment:

Did you feel like there was too much tail when mounted on the line? I know these aren’t strong stiff skis. I like a progressive mount but -3 from true center might be pushing it...Leave a comment:

I’m debating whether or not to mount at -2 of recommended or go back to -3. Worried -3 might feel like it wants to wheel out

Bumping this to see where people ended up mounting their bent 110s and what they’d recommend. The recommended at-3 seems a bit aggressive, especially if used for touring. I see KC mounted his at-5 and curious to hear his thoughtsLeave a comment:

I have skied LV recon and cortex. Cortex is lower volume for sure and heavier. Can’t say I notice any difference in forward lean. But also can’t confirm they’re the same. I ski both without spoiler

I personally wouldn’t worry about the boa. Parts should be around for the foreseeable future seeing as how many boots use them. The upper boa is awesome. Cortex is a much more aggressive fit than a Lange rs.

No need for metal. It really just needs some rubber in the ski...Leave a comment:

I’ve been rocking heated insoles for a while now. Absolutely love them. First day with them and I was thinking why in the world I hadn’t bought them earlier. Socks seem great but I ski almost everyday of the winter, so owning that many socks isn’t feasible nor is constantly cleaning them. I do...Leave a comment:

I moved my mount back because the tail felt very punishing and planky. I’m used to pretty progressive mounts but the recommended on the 121 just wasn’t for me. My main criticism of the ski is that the construction is just kind of blah, it could really use some vibration dampening tech it feels like...Leave a comment:

If the garas are still available I’ll take them.

Stores like evo, backcountry totally suck for boots. IMO even specialty boot shops suck because the fitter is always pushing an agenda, ie putting you in the boot that requires the least amount of work. You need to know what actually fits you, by trying on everything. I’ve probably put every boot...Leave a comment:
