Better today at Big Sky. They opened the tram this morning. Lenin was scary crust but Marx was actually fun chalk. But the best skiing is right down the Bowl, where some beautiful smooth chalk formed. Highly rippable.

Today? Kinda partly cloudy. Tried to snow around noon but failed. Actually cold by the end of the day.

All good though. I'd rather ski shit conditions than do anything else. Place was empty too, which is always nice.

Today was one of my top 5 worst days at Big Sky. No tram, no Headwaters, maybe one line off Chally that had some decent chalk. Embrace the suck.

I did the middle fork in mid-April and it was great. Flew to Indian Creek from Hamilton. Worst case scenario you have to cancel last minute due to flow or weather, but I have friends who do it almost every early season.

I hear what you're saying about the experience Bunion. Speaking for myself I will make an effort to time my drop and choose my route based on avoiding people if possible.

They closed it after that first day and I'm not sure is been open since. Yesterday it looked to me like tram was scenics...
