Better today at Big Sky. They opened the tram this morning. Lenin was scary crust but Marx was actually fun chalk. But the best skiing is right down the Bowl, where some beautiful smooth chalk formed. Highly rippable.

I did the middle fork in mid-April and it was great. Flew to Indian Creek from Hamilton. Worst case scenario you have to cancel last minute due to flow or weather, but I have friends who do it almost every early season.

I hear what you're saying about the experience Bunion. Speaking for myself I will make an effort to time my drop and choose my route based on avoiding people if possible.
