FS: Praxis Protests - 187cm
2024 Praxis Protests.
Crumpled Maple with maple leaf top sheets.
#3 flex, enduro with carbon core. 2270g each.
Skied 7 days. A few light scratches but pretty minty.
One mount for 313bsl at the dimple and current one 1.5cm back so several... -
I got on the Kastle bus late because of the feel of those track bindings. I blamed the skis for the vagueness and rubber feeling. The hole pattern worked out for me changing them.
I switched to pivots and became a fanboy....Leave a comment:

FS: Head Monster 98s
2017 Head Monster 98s w/Look Pivot 12s. 177cm.
Only six days use, four by me and two by the previous owner. Two pivot mounts. One at 295mm +2 and current 313mm bsl on the line. The front holes were re-used so only the heals have two sets of holes. Never ground.

Seems like a solid deal. Even if you don’t use them that often, to have a ski like this for days when everyone is getting bogged down because the snow is too deep and you’re having fun makes it worth it....Leave a comment:

I have older (2015) non-asym Billy’s and they always worked great but did better the more I skied them. The feel is just different than my other skis. Usually took a few runs.
I had some newer (2021) C&d that I never really clicked with. I think it is the asymmetrical thing....Leave a comment:

I have, and can include, the Kastle branded plates and bindings if you want to re-drill the sealed holes....Leave a comment:

I heard only 50 pairs were imported, if so you’ve had 30%.

The most important thing is to start with warm boots in the morning. A heated boot bag makes a big difference. If you use boot gloves, make sure you use cat tracks over the top or you won’t make your first walk to the lodge without that bottom strap breaking. There are a couple of other brands of...Leave a comment:

FWIW,
I went several years thinking there was no place for an all mountain ski in my collection until I bought my first pair of mx98s for my son. I tried them one day and was hooked. Before that I’d decided that I needed wide skis or narrow skis but not 90-110.
I’m old, 165lbs and ski...Leave a comment:

I just put a 306 BSL boot in. The center mark lands 5 mm forward., your 304 might be 6mm forward....1 PhotoLeave a comment:

These are the two that would be concerning on moving the heel forward. Unless of course you used one of the ideas in Mount your own fucking skis Thread. On a ski this long, I can’t imagine anyone could feel 5 mm forward or back of the line....1 PhotoLeave a comment:

Here are photos of the current forward pressure adjustment rods along with photos of my mx83s that had the same Kastle plate removed for pivots.
The adjustment range is on the tight side so a re-drill would be needed for a 304.
Assuming you’d want to leave a cm between holes the heels...4 PhotosLeave a comment:
