1) Gutted to see Kelly fall like that on his debut.
2) At least it's cold now, as opposed to December when it was no snow and warm.
3) We haven't even been able to set gets on anything but Goldenhorn and Thunderbowl......

Gutted for Kelly. Kid rips, it's so fun seeing him bounce around here....

This is just the rooster coming home to roost now. Living wages in resort towns, especially Telluride (and Aspen) are ridiculously high.... You can't buy a modest house for under $1.25M within a 45 minute drive basically.

I think if we ever get above 75% snowpack for the season it'll be a great rest of the year.... mild la nina sucks....

Well, another weekend of coaching on Highlands... gravel skiing off of Loge, found some good snow mid mountain and some good training ice for the kids on golden horn and thunderbowl.

I'd like to not be gravel skiing anymore though.

I had the U12/14 group out on Highlands Sunday and I think I successfully got them to not even think about a slalom gate. It was fun....

I saw them starting to push things out a bit the other day and figured they were going to make a push for this weekend....

Got up on Snowmass Sunday.... they had the elk camp chair closed, burn was open... sneaky's had a few spots of good snow, the middle 1/3 had significant rocks that got tilled up.
I'll be back out on Aspen Thurs-Sun... I hope the snow joins me.
