Took the sled for a rip. Icy and dirt down low but snow was surprisingly decent up top. Might take some digging to get in the cabin.360 views were nice with 4 mountain ranges.

Me and the wife put in for Smith. She's never been and I've got 2 trips on cancelations. Also got an invite for early season middle fork but not sure I have the balls/experience for that esp if high water and/or putting in at Marsh.

For a few years Disco was bussing over pre-release guys from butte to bump chairs. Mostly grumpy fucks who had never skied or been around ski hills. There was one exception. Yeah, Tim Montana who bought the wise river club(along with Billy gibbons of ZZ Top) has been trying to get the state's attention but I also haven't been following very closely. Here in my montana small town we are volunteer fire and ambulance. I don't know if the EMS gets any funding. There's maybe 6 volunteer "drivers"( who are mostly also volunteer fire) and maybe 2 people certified. The city/county used to offer free courses to try and recruit more people but...Leave a comment:

Disco is still pretty thin but the new snow was fun until it got scraped off. Then high speed groomer zooming was actually super fun.
