If I recall correctly in the Truck thread, he has a 2014 Ford F-150 Shelby Raptor Baja 700. Musk can only dream of building a truck that kickass.... -
I have a 22HP ‘09 kubota with front bucket, rototiller, brush hog, rear blade, fert spreader, and harrows on Dad’s estate. Price out replacement new was north of $50k last year. 1400hrs. Local market suggests 20-25k.
If you got the long term work for it, price sounds about right. Check on the...Leave a comment:

I’ll give a shout-out for the Nokian Outposts. Going into their third winter and still 80% tread. Happy enough in moderate mud, and fine on the forestry roads. Granted they are E-rated on a 1st gen taco, but that taco always has a 600lb quad or sled in the bed. Late winter ice and slush has been the...Leave a comment:

Ha! We try and bring as little to the waste transfer stn as possible. Most of the less woody garden remains get chopped dried and piled for ‘brown’ to be added to the wet compost over winter and early summer. Sifting that mess usually reveals a set of rusted clippers, hand trowel, once a wristwatch,...Leave a comment:

Hey, if it’s good enough to fertilize the garlic coming from China….
The produce stickers are my nemesis when screening the compost. They seem to be able to multiply much like clothes hangers from the dry cleaners did in the 80’s....Leave a comment:

Need to consult with BC Kootenay Doukhobors about best culinary practices with honeys. Boiled, peeled, then fried is what I remember. I was a young resource tech hearing a Douk classmate saying they were choice edible on a field session, and without waiting to hear the rest of her story, popped one...Leave a comment:

Width might not be a big deal, but check that those 275 60R will fit with the increased sidewall height. 60R determines sidewall height as a ratio of the width, those 275mm will be near an inch taller than the 255mm width. Not familiar with LR wheel well clearances.Leave a comment:

Inefficient unless you know how to sharpen those teeth perfectly. Even then. But cool enough, and one hell of a workout.
Have fun!Leave a comment:

Not a lawyer, but technically, on crown land (not in a park or other protected area) recreation and guide tenures only restrict commercial operations of same - guiding (hunting, skiing, hiking, fishing, etc), and other more permanent structure establishment. Hunting horseback ‘packers’ have been...Leave a comment:

I also think those are angel wings. Lots around the upper N.Thompson R. area, just to the west of you. Never sampled them myself....Leave a comment:

Pickups in winter are the worst of all worlds for choosing a tire. Unloaded, they are horribly balanced between front and rear axles. 4X4 offsets that somewhat, but nothing worse than drifting with both front and rear axles spinning. Loading the bed helps with the balance, but the added weight to make...👍 2Leave a comment:

Dude. This is the truck tire thread, those are car tires. If it doesn’t come in a LT version, then piss off to that other tire thread....👍 1Leave a comment:

LT3’s with studs on the big truck. Hate the studs on dry pavement, love them when the roads gets that 1” glaze of compact snow and ice, especially from graders and heavy industrial traffic. The full size is the family highway tripper, so the added piece of mind works for me. The car doesn’t get...👍 1Leave a comment:
