You are missing the point of predictability. If your tires react smiliarly in all conditions and predictably, that is much more important for both safety and driveability. That is what studs offer. I agree with XXX you need emtb support. I was stuck for a moment as Fazua's lbs closed and I had to hand-hold their new support shop... which has now also closed leaving me with... a consumer oriented rental shop that is my only local support.Leave a comment:

LOL that isn't how it works in the mountains. Try something more like "there is no street parking allowed" period because the street is too narrow before you consider snow clearance 6 months a year.

Developers will do ANYTHING they can to not account for things like traffic, parking, and water. They will even try to "incentivize" variances to allow for more density and less parking by cramming in extra "workforce" units that are undparked in areas with no or poor transit. The closest two years were:
1999-2000, which was terrible until late Jan, then poor until March at which point large storms turned it into a pretty median year.
2013-2014, which remained about the worst year on record until heavy snows in late April pushed toward the median.
