my empathy and
my condolences to those dealing with parents in failing heath
( way more than aging - which we are all doing at a certain variable point ) ;

I offer a few comments from my experience watching my parents ends in 2017 and 2018, each with dementia, each at 84...

Please clarify the Great Plains and the Midwest -

I propose ND and SD and nebraska and kansas are Great Plains -

and Yes,
Michigan has the U.p. state.

(( nah, you 're okay, TBS - Hart had a honeycomb Competition ( Billy Kidd ski ) in the mid-1970s ;

Hexcel was known for their aluminum honeycomb core, and was notorious for having bindings pull-out of their skis.

There are areas east of the Porkies, up toward the Kee(wenaw) peninsula that will get three feet -
snowmobile country.
There are Backcountry lines for those who know the terrain -

you should see the pictures of Bohemia from the 1990s when storms would stall on the Kee and...

I read the fastest times in both runs in the last three slaloms ( two this season, last last-season )
