I have a standalone drill press, and used it once for mounting bindings (out of 25 plus mounts), but think it's overkill and harder than using a hand drill.

I'd get the Blister catalog for this year, and look at the front side, or all mountain - more approachable reviews, and pick what floats your boat.

I'm not a fan of my Countach 110 graphics from last year, but at the end of the day, they ski so well, I don't care. Buy skis for the way they ski, not how they look.
