The Arcteryx Procline is the softshell you seek for skiing, if you go that route. But of course, they discontinued it. The Gamma MX just doesn't make a lot of sense for skiing.

I have the Gamma MX and only wear it running errands and walking the dogs. Its a little heavier (feels that way, have not weighed it) than most shells. The sleeve cuffs won't fit over any of my gloves and it sheds just enough moisture for the short amount of time I wear it in bad weather. It's hard...

I own the 190 and only have a couple true powder days on it but I never had any issues with tip dive and thought it floated well so I did a double take on Ellsworth's comments. All that being said, I have zero experience on a full rocker ski like the Banana or a Renegade so...

When Blister did their "best skis of this century" series podcast, Ellsworth said the Wildcat isn't really a pow ski but never really clarified that. Anyone else hear that or have an idea why he said that?
