I run these dragons. They’re normally over $200 but Al’s has a few colors on clearance for $74. They all come with 2 lens in the box. You really can’t beat them for this price. Lens swap is super easy with two little switches. Lock up is super tight. Don’t fog up and fov is really good. ...Leave a comment:

Nothing wrong with the 186. Especially for going uphill as GT’s ain’t light. I personally had to go for the 194 since the 186 were too short for my usage and I had no plans to go uphill with them. I also specifically wanted the 126 width....Leave a comment:

The 186 is really short to me so the further back the better to get more tip ahead of you. A lot of people complain about tip dive on the 186 at the rec mount....Leave a comment:

Definitely it fake news. A lot of people have been dealing with cracked heel housings or pieces breaking off. Look claimed it was just from the original batch of blue steel that was made early on. Problem is now the same issue is happening across multiple colors that were made later than the batches...Leave a comment:

My understanding is you want to use food grade silicone. Non food grade can have additives that can break the the plastics in both liners and shells. It’s been discussed tons over at ski talk....Leave a comment:

It’s been far more than 2 years of use with the amount of testing all the manufacturers did prior to the public release. So yes it’s sailed.
I never said failures can’t happen. Things break. The difference is boas fail far less than buckles do. Again that’s just a proven fact...👍 1👎 1Leave a comment:

This is just an antiquated thought. Alpine boa has more than proven itself durability wise at this point. Manufactures have reported more buckle failures than boas in testing and shops have been reporting similar. The system is far more robust compared to any prior iterations of boa.

Already have a pair of workhorse and wanted to keep using them if possible. Assumed it wouldn’t work and I’d have to swap to one of the lower volume zips. I really love the leather on the workhorse so figured I’d have to move to a corsa but zip was telling me they think a workhorse will work in...Leave a comment:

i know you’ve mentioned a few times that the reason tech fittings didn’t make it on remedy was for the fact it shares a mold with (tx)? Correct me if I’m wrong on the model, and that it would have added significantly more cost to the boot with new molds etc. is that also the...Leave a comment:

Do you think with your experience fitting remedy’s and zips that a pair of workhorse could work? Zip seems to think so since I haven’t added any cork....Leave a comment:
