Agreed, but I have brakes that are too big for any wheel less than 20".Last edited by schindlerpiste; Yesterday, 07:15 PM. -
I just bought 2 K03s for the rear wheels of my truck. This winter, I will also run K02s with 12-14m of tread on the front. Two tires with 4 new sensors = ~$1500. Ridiculous. I can't find decent snow tires for my 285/65-20 rims, otherwise I would probably get 4 Nokian HakkasLeave a comment:

Finally, I am happy with my quiver.
A bit of overlap, but not too much. The SR95s are my wife's, but the others all fit a purpose. The 182 cm 78m underfoot the SR lights are a great Wasatch all around touring ski for the few treks that I will go on. The ZX108 with demo clamps are fun,...Leave a comment:

This is very sad to read. Condolences to friends , family and fellow ski bums who had the pleasure of knowing Bob. ....
"Me encanta el país alto." He loved the high country, and I would not be surprised if he is in Valhalla ripping up pow with JP, Jamie, Sarah, Andreas, and many...Leave a comment:

Beware of those holiday police ticket quotas. I was just pulled over for doing 45 in a 35. Also, I was heading east and the last car of 5 in line traveling with the flow of traffic. The PoPo was traveling westbound and there were no other vehicles on a road that was straight for over 1 mile. When he...Leave a comment:

Regarding the Pivots, Corbetts is currently selling them new to your door in USA for about $210. Forza 3.0 only left in stock at that price. II think that if you offer them up for $175, you will sell them today. I bought a pair for my new Exploders. Can't help you out with the Tetons.
Free (opinionated)...Leave a comment:

RIP Donna Godchaux
May you dine and dance in the great halls singing the blues with rings on your fingers and bells on your shoes. You are free to be Playin InThe Band with Jerry and a bunch of Swampers while The Morning Dew sets on your body. You know, "... it's just a box of rain

Thanks. My problem (I guess) with the MX83 is that I like LOOK Pivots, and the K12s not so much. It could be 100% in my head. It goes way back to the '80s when I started to hate "system" ski set-ups. I was really into Volkl skis: G4, Supersport 5***** when they were flat. Then, they ruined...👍 1Leave a comment:

Surprised that there is no interest in these amazing skis. Too bad that I don't have selling privileges over at PhilPug's forum. Oh well, I probably ski them again 3x each this season and offer them up again at a later date.Leave a comment:

PM your info. There is probably a FedEx or USPS bag that they will fit in. I hope that it works out.Leave a comment:

That's kinda what I'm thinking, but I am also looking forward to making steepish fall line hop turns on fresh snow at places like the backside of Greeley and Eagle's Nest. Although new, these skis are 22 years old. Bases look fine, but I wonder about some sort of unseen deterioration over time. I slapped...Leave a comment:

I get your point about placing them in a corner and admiring them. They are pretty spectacular. Stiff, pingy and demanding (i.e solid) are what make these fun. FKN panzers. OK, I may be a bit old for them, but I'm not sure that I am ready to make that stop me. I do have a niche in my quiver for a 95...Leave a comment:

You guys are helping me to understand. Thank you! I am trying to get to a place where, (without concierge drs) I know that no matter what happens to me in a given year, my maximum OOP can not exceed say $20K (of course, that number is arbitrary and might as well be "X"). The point is that...Leave a comment:

You mention things like small co-pays and ER visits, but I am much more concerned with full payment for things like brain or other MRIs, joint replacement costs, cancer and other expensive diagnosis treatment that may or hopefully may not be necessary in my 70s and beyond.Leave a comment:
