Not pictured: added one more block in the left joist bay to catch the edge of the subfloor patch. Put a layer of shellac based primer on the subfloor and then dropped an underlayment of 15/32 plywood on top before putting in the floor.
If you want shorter games, the San Francisco ticket to ride plays very fast with a bit less scale and depth compared to the full size one.
if you want to play with more people, 7 Wonders is a game that scales well to larger groups without getting bogged down. You only really need to care...
Are the lights (and other xmas decor) pulled from the shelf or sold out?
Costco has some sort of mandate to keep the shelves full at all times, so if something runs low it gets moved and something else fills the space even if they are going to restock it 2 days from now.
Held and hand flexed a production pair of the 108s yesterday. Soft for a blizz freeride ski, but I think that's kind of the point. I wouldn't say it is quite Bent-envy (although maybe that's still the hole they are trying to fill: something buttery)--doesn't feel like it will be as floppy and while...
I just did a multi-stop journey on them and was constantly unable to check in online/in app until they figured it out before the last flight. No explanation, just some form of "An Unexpected Error Has Occurred"
Turned out they had it listed as my 1-year old (who had his own seat)...
Or he just doesn't drive in bad conditions/push the car very hard to the point where the difference in tread compound is noticeable.
That actually has me thinking...I've usually written off the Blizzaks because they go to shit after the soft stuff wears away, but my vehicle gets so few...
Left side I shouldn't even need the 2x4 if I cut it down the middle of the I-joist, right? New OSB will be supported by about 1.25" of joist which is the same as you'd get at the original subfloor seams (and just glue and screw or nail it in).
95% sure I should patch a section of OSB subfloor under the water heater. It doesn't feel spongey or overly swollen, but it is sunken where the water heater feet were and there are some patches of mold. Also the plumber wants to relocate the existing drain to accommodate...
I liked my X-Ice a lot, but I decided last year that they were toast (plenty of tread left, but they were too old and the rubber had hardened enough to be pretty noticeable compared to my wife's car).
Giving the VikingContact 8s a try as they were cheaper than the X-Ice in my size and the...
Ugh. Got home from 2 weeks out of town to find my water heater leaking. Maybe was going even longer…I’m not really sure what prompted me to check. An unfamiliar musty smell upon returning?
Unfortunately it isn’t in a pan. Just on some vinyl flooring on the OSB above the crawlspace....
i mean on one hand, Achatz is the master of the pop-up given he already does 3 completely different concepts a year at Next and… most… of them work. He can do no wrong in my mind.
on the other hand, I find it hard to believe it will actually be good by Alinea standards....
Doesn't apply to shipping skis, but there's one thing you need to watch out for on Pirate Ship:
They won't quote you first class mail pricing (as they are focused on trackable business mail).
If you need to mail anything lightweight that fits in some sort of envelope, then regular...
Or after seeing some videos of shops doing base welds with an air welder...I kind of want to try that.
Harbor freight sells an inexpensive hot air welder setup. It doesn't have the feed tip that I see everyone use in the videos, but those tips are probably available somewhere for not...
