It's an amazing place if you can ignore the rich people politics and let the mountains talk instead. It's easily one of the best ski mountains in North America (when it snows) and nearby there are many jaw dropping BC and sidecountry lines. Summer is a real good time too for biking, hiking, 4x4, camping...☕ 1Leave a comment:

Weird, I consider my 3 year old Hot Shot a great ski to push hard in variable conditions and I love how it carves and holds and edge. It's a BM charger in my book when it's hardpack, but I don't ski it if it's 6" deep (or deeper) and smooth underneath. If it's choppy under 1-6" of new snow...Leave a comment:

Gajin, sorry, I meant it must be a technique issue since his edges are sharp. I agree with you, no amount of (my own) mere mortal carving technique can overcome ice with a dull edge. And when I can't carve sketch ice with sharp edges I resort to windshield wiper turns which is technique too - often...Leave a comment:
