I like the idea of being stuck in LCC. Right now we have booked airport transfers so we wouldn’t even have a good option to leave.

Where would you recommend over in summit county. Deer valley? Snow basin? Park city?...

Old goat- thanks for that info. That helps knowing that the difficulty ratings are similar between Alta and bird. If the blues at bird are similar to other blues then that opens up a lot more of the mountain for us. Otherwise I think we would be stuck riding the baby thunder lift all day which I'm guessing...

That is kind of what I was thinking. But it’s good to know that there is enough at snowbird for the kids to ski, and I’m not crazy thinking my kids will enjoy sking there.

So we just booked a 4 day trip over new years to stay in the cliff lodge at the bird. Kids ski free at snowbird but not at Alta. Originally the thought was to ski all 4 days at snowbird and skip Alta this trip. However as I did some initial research I’m discovering that the bird is a bad ass mountain....
