You can snowmobile anywhere that isn't closed to snowmobiling. Damn near all of Southern interior bc is under some form of cat ski or heli ski tenure. You can go rip your sled around in any tenure you feel like. It's completely legal. 100% wrong. It's crown land. It's every bit as much mine and yours as it is CMH's. They cannot exclude us unless we hire a helicopter to take us heli-skiing.
Hell, if we owned our own helicopter, we'd be golden and could hit all their tenure completely legally. It's strictly the commercial...Leave a comment:

Ya that's definitely not the case. The helicopter dropping you off to camp is not heli-skiing. The commercial tenure is only specific to certain activities, camping definitely not being one of them. It's no one's business if you choose to ski tour from your campsite or not...Leave a comment:

It's not a bad idea to give them a heads up for the reasons you listed. But in no way, shape, or form can these operators exclude you from crown land. And depending on the company, some will try to flex and discourage this kind of usage....Leave a comment:

You don't need to check-in with a given heli-ski tenure holder. It's crown land. Heli-ski tenures only provide exclusive use for commercial recreation. You're just going on a ski trip. Pick a spot and then hire a helicopter to take you there.
