Ha...nobody is better at skiing The Jane and avoiding the bumps that me.
I have literally been making the same turns in the same places for 30 years....

I think we are are basically saying the same thing. I Keith were ever to actually shut it down, I would be tempted to get a Custom Skinny Q. Are there still pre season custom sales? What has been the price? My "Travel Ski aka get on an airplane" need have been to go to...Leave a comment:

Well I didn't go to Baja but same. The weekend storm cycle was a nice tease. I was fixin' to be pissed I am working too much but blessing in disguise right now. Desert looks nice for the next week.
Overnight low of 35 at my house (8500ish). That's different. And yes, the Holiday Freakout...Leave a comment:

Not specifically, but I'd think between Snotel Stations, local obs and so on, you get the idea. Any reason to think different?...Leave a comment:

Ha....maybe? I certainly don't ski as fast as I used too all the time. As yes, the Millennials need a floppy noodle to go with with their sassy pole plant up and down retro dork style.
Everyone has their own type of ski they enjoy. But for pure lightweight pow touring, the DPS 120 is...Leave a comment:

Bump this up for the awesomeness of Praxis skis. I guess I'll just own being in frugal hoarder mode.

Wait until you actually sit on a jury. Here in Grand County, the judge has started giving bench warrants for no call no show. Lots of second homos that are Registered Voters here don't want to disturb their upper middle class suburban existence to drive to Hot Sulphur. Euro Status Wagons don't go...Leave a comment:

That's how you Autumn! I rode my bike to the top of Arrow 10.5k ish. As dry as can be. Crazy to say but we need the precip to end fire season more than to start ski season. Contractors are going on 5-6weeks of easy outside work that the good ones never count on....Leave a comment:

Yep. Its Dog Shit. Mine will be going up to $850 a month for a $10k deductible. I feel like I'm just insuring my assets in the event of a major medical event. If I was young, health and didn't have many assets I would get insurance. And even with the ACA, the subsidies were paid by the tax payers...Leave a comment:

Fair. I probably should have said "winter tires" or "snow tires".
As a winter sports enthusiast, I just place tires really high on the list of shit that is important to me.Leave a comment:

I'm suprising at how few of you Tire Nerd Dentists run studded winters. Yeah, they are that much better. But one savings I've noticed is that I can run my ATs much further into their tread wear than if I used them in the Winter.
Also, Toyo AT3 10 ply is a nice tire.Leave a comment:
