RX for ski area soft snow, trees, bumps (as needed), choppy groomers?... -
Ha....maybe? I certainly don't ski as fast as I used too all the time. As yes, the Millennials need a floppy noodle to go with with their sassy pole plant up and down retro dork style.
Everyone has their own type of ski they enjoy. But for pure lightweight pow touring, the DPS 120 is...Leave a comment:

Bump this up for the awesomeness of Praxis skis. I guess I'll just own being in frugal hoarder mode.
Skied soft groomers on a storm day at Wanker Park on my 188 Skinny Qs. That ski just does everything I want and makes such a sweet turn. So I'd be interested in another pair of those....☕ 1Leave a comment:

Wait until you actually sit on a jury. Here in Grand County, the judge has started giving bench warrants for no call no show. Lots of second homos that are Registered Voters here don't want to disturb their upper middle class suburban existence to drive to Hot Sulphur. Euro Status Wagons don't go...Leave a comment:

That's how you Autumn! I rode my bike to the top of Arrow 10.5k ish. As dry as can be. Crazy to say but we need the precip to end fire season more than to start ski season. Contractors are going on 5-6weeks of easy outside work that the good ones never count on....Leave a comment:

Yep. Its Dog Shit. Mine will be going up to $850 a month for a $10k deductible. I feel like I'm just insuring my assets in the event of a major medical event. If I was young, health and didn't have many assets I would get insurance. And even with the ACA, the subsidies were paid by the tax payers...Leave a comment:

As a winter sports enthusiast, I just place tires really high on the list of shit that is important to me.Leave a comment:

I'm suprising at how few of you Tire Nerd Dentists run studded winters. Yeah, they are that much better. But one savings I've noticed is that I can run my ATs much further into their tread wear than if I used them in the Winter.
Also, Toyo AT3 10 ply is a nice tire.Leave a comment:

Perhaps. 5.3 Chevys, 5.0 and NA V6 F150s. 'Yotas before the Turbos. Manual Outbacks. What else? Part of it living in the mountains is "Take it to the dealer and get a loaner" isn't easy. It's part of the reason I haul my tools in a trailer. Too many contractor friends have their vans...Leave a comment:

Nice SnowAddict. My 2013 6.2 F250 has 160k and its been a good truck. I'm just starting to replace starter, front end parts, PW pump with I think is pretty normal. I tow, haul materials, drive a lot of dirt roads etc. so it certainly gets used. It seems the 6.2 is getting a good reputation as a...Leave a comment:
