Ok bingo, thx! I guess as long as the anchors stay fixed, then re-setting just the poles when back in camp is pretty quick. I'm doing this going forward. Dedicated poles are pretty light, but all weight adds up....

Tacking a "mid" question onto this thread... for skiing, I've always caved at the last minute and brought dedicated poles for the mid since we're obviously using ski poles during the day. But have always pondered using the ski poles for the tent when in camp, then when skiing during the day...
