I owned 1 sq in of the Yukon Terr. once. Sent in a dime and two cereal box tops and they sent 1 sq in of dirt in a small bag with the deed. Icelanders could try that to calm the petulant meglomaniac.

Well, I used the HD rolling ladder, couple of different forklifts and climbed like a monkey to access the 3rd shelf for a few years. Each method has it's own safety issues. None are idiot proof. Training is key. HD did a lot of that....

My dad planned to retire at 52 but handed the business over to me and "worked" 2 more years seeing 4 customers twice a year for a 50% share of the commissions. I thought that he'd earned it. Retirement means you don't NEED the job.

In NYS, tax is paid on a percentage of "assessed value" which is a number pulled out of a hat as near as I can tell. Tax on that one looks to be $2k/year? Too many people is relative number. One is too many for some. Taxes are probably lower in Texas but a long way to the lift line and then...
