Skied wolf yesterday and it certainly did not feel like a holiday weekend. No crowd on the cams today. After last season and this season I’m wondering if or how much they are hurting.

Smith Squad/Squad XL can be found for about $75. Maybe cheaper, I got some for like $40 3-4 years ago. Basic goggle with no quick lens changes. Smith quality....

FYI you're comparing apples to oranges here. The Renoun's are a touring ski. The Blaze is more on the touring end of the 50/50 ski segment IMO. The Atomics are an all mountain ski. If the Atomics are too demanding, I would look to a ski with less or no metal, and a different camber/rocker profile e.g....

are you asking how to find center? Measure the ski, find center, measure-5cm back and compare to the marked mount point. It is labeled on the topsheet right? I think that vintage would have lines at rec,+1,+2. If so sounds like you would like +2. Maybe you want to go forward...

I just did some scarpa intuitions for about 10 minutes at 200* in my convection oven. I checked on them every few minutes starting about 6 minutes in.

Main thing I think is baking them till they puff up like they should, without going so long that they get too soft and loose their form....

I don’t ski at a crowded hill, yet without fail, if I happen to stop in a visible spot, and otherwise safe spot, a tail gunning intermediate will lock onto me and ski across the run to come show off a shitty turn...

My Solly S Pros have the worst buckles of any ski boot I’ve owned. Still my next boots will have buckles if I have the choice and I’ll pay more attention to the buckles when shopping around....

I pretty much have DD'd the R114 in a 191 the last 2 seasons in CO and think everything people say about them is mostly accurate. Though I don't find them to be demanding...that said the R114 is probably the most playful freeride ski I've had, and a few days on them opened my mind other skis including...
