I like that the R114 is still around. Makes sense to me to have the directional R114/101 and the spinny flippy R121/112.

I’d be inclined to try and make something out of metal strap, and coat it somehow, or maybe find a small diameter vinyl coated conduit strap. Swing by a hardware store to see what they got. Or a ski shop that works on touring boots....

Also, try to reuse the existing threads by turning the screw counter clockwise w/ downward pressure. You will feel it drop into the existing threads. The goal is to catch & reuse the threads that the screw cut the first time.
Sometimes the bindings interfere with this, but you can work around...

I’ve got a pair of the current Maestrales for sale here in gear swap in a 25.5, 299mm BSL. Which I believe is the same as the 26.5 Quattros. Both boots have the same last for the lowers. I’ve had both on my feet. The fit is the same, just the Maestrale runs one mondo size larger than the same size...

I got in quick in 2023 when I was starting to have symptoms. I also had lab work & multiple referrals. I don’t know if that sped it up at all.
