Sounds about right. It’s really pleasant up high, I’m thinking about breaking out the micro spikes and ice axe and going for a hike.... -
Skied a few runs at Mission yesterday, it’s bleak. The warm temps AND the warm wind has taken its toll on the snow pack. Looks like late April except the sun is too low to to soften the coral reef. In spite of temperatures in the mid 40s the snow pack is freezing solid over here with the clear and...Leave a comment:

If Marshall ever gets another run of BC90s or you see a pair for sale, it’s exactly what you want. Softer tail, not really soft, in regards to tip. Easy skiing in terrible snow....Leave a comment:

Are you talking about the R1 or R1 Air? R1 Air has zero resemblance to a soft shell. It’s fuzzy grid fleece inside and out with no smooth face fabric at all....👍 1Leave a comment:

Bought the full zip hoodie for sweetbippie for Christmas. She loves it, now I want one. Pretty lofty for how light it is....Leave a comment:

That would make sense too. That’s a pretty benign looking slope of the ridge east of Longs....Leave a comment:

I had my 193 Corvus(low reverse) mounted on the line. I thought they were really good on groomers as long as the snow was soft enough to set an edge. As good as my previous favorite in this width the Invictus 108. The only place I didn’t care for the Corvus was in tight trees. I think that was mainly...Leave a comment:

I put my BC 110 at -8 or 8.5 iirc. Still nimble but the tips plane a bit better. I liked my R 110s back of recommended too. Interestingly, I like the FR110 at -6.5. Different skis, sometimes I wish the BC110 had the same rocker and splay as the FR110. The longer lower splay doesn’t push as much snow...Leave a comment:

Really good storm skiing at the Ridge this afternoon. Snowing hard and really windy. Free refills every run. Bonding well with the base. Ghost town after 1200Leave a comment:

Okay, but that’s exactly what you posted, that there was no industry investigation with patroller fatalities....Leave a comment:

I’m sorry, haysman said he was lamenting that there were no investigations with patroller fatalities. I thought that sounded weird....Leave a comment:

Are you saying that after a patroller fatality or accident that OSHA or state xSHA does no investigation? That’s kind of messed up if that’s the case. I would think that CAL-OSHA would investigate this fatality at Mammoth but maybe I’m naive.Leave a comment:

Nobody has time for that shit! /s
I totally agree with you. I’m always seeking quality over quantity these days....Leave a comment:

Yeah, base edge. 1.5 base edge is what the butter tune(model specific edge shaping)is for these skis, iirc. Marshal can correct me if I’m wrong. The factory tune is a little crude, like most skis IMO. It’ll work but you’ll get the most out of the ski with a nice tune....Leave a comment:
