^^^ So, you gonna actually post your thoughts, or what?
from my POV, Gerry has made a solid contribution to the snowboard culture here in Central Oregon. I’ve met the guy and found him personable and humble. His Big Wave Challenge this year brings money and stoke to two people battling...👍 1Leave a comment:

yes, they were. As was his recounting of his wife’s unsuccessful battle with breast cancer. His posts about his cats were the result of a promise he made to her.
Sadly, never got to spend time with him IRL - could never make the timing work on trips to Taos - but did share some time...👍 3Leave a comment:

yes, you are Bob.
Like Otzi says, I never got to spend time with Bob IRL. Despite multiple attempts, never could work out logistics for skiing at Taos or MTB rides near his daughter in NorCal. That said, we did have several phone convos - he helped me with a fundraiser, I helped him track...👍 2Leave a comment:

Buzz - recommend you see a PT (or two) before you decide on surgery. My PT tells me that outcomes of surgery are *almost* as good as a placebo (where they just poke a scope in there and sew back up).
I’ve dealt with a meniscus tear for about 25 years. MRI sez repair but I can keep the...Leave a comment:

Rosie performing a power stretch/nap.
She’s a totally indoor cat, has never shown the slightest desire to go outside. So much so, her first two sets of humans never bothered to chip or collar her, and we’ve followed suit.

Good info, thanks. I start physical therapy next week, and will bring this up if they don’t. At this point I don’t feel any tightness or reduced range of motion, but I already have restricted range due to a discectomy/fusion in my cervical spine from 20 years ago.Leave a comment:

Mine is/was in the back of my mouth under the right side of my tongue. Squamous cell carcinoma, HPV positive. It affected the tonsil on that side as well (never had mine removed).
Are you talking about lymphedema or lymphopenia? Just did a search and they seem to be different but simi...Leave a comment:

Checking in.
Two weeks after the last of my 35 doses of radiation and I’m finally starting to feel human. They warned me these two weeks would be hell and they weren’t lying.

When my a1C got over 6.5 ten years ago, my doc put me on Metformin. Tired and true drug for diabetes. After losing 40 pounds and changing my diet, my a1C is about 6.1.
Later she switched me to Jardiance which I’m told is better for the heart.
only problem with Jardiance...Leave a comment:

Update - Sitting in the cancer center infusion room getting IV fluids after day 33 of 35 total radiation doses. Blood pressure of 80/52 was deemed a little low. Stewing in a melange of Fentanyl & oxycodone (for pain) and lorazopam (for anxiety of pinning my head to the radiation table).
