I agree that the minivan term / marketing speak started with the Chrysler ones in the early 80s.

I'd consider all those VW busses to be of the same genre, just without the marketing lingo applied. Definitely passenger oriented, although there were those weird VW bus cab / pickup body things...

I live near Tahoe, so mild temps relatively. I've been using Hertel hot sauce for years, because it's universal temp, works well enough, scrapes easily, inexpensive in the big bricks.

Cold temp waxes definitely last a lot longer, but are hard to scrape.

Uncool currently, but old DPS RP112 (the banana skis) show up used on Craigslist and FB marketplace pretty often, cheap. I have a pair with touring bindings, and I think they work well for a pow touring ski - - they don't really give up anything in float to my old Lotus 120, which I used for pow touring...

The CX 50 hybrid drivetrain is exactly the same as the RAV4 hybrid - - Mazda uses Toyota's engine, transmission, etc. I'm surprised it drove much different, but I guess there's different suspension tuning to be done. I've never driven the CX 50.
