I get a lot of mileage on my skis and some severe temp swings - between -20 and +40. I use a variety of colors but red is my daily. Blue for colder, never green, yellow for warmer. It makes a difference. A lil black for fresh cold stuff.

Universal is better than nothing fosho and only vaguely...

I hesitate to say which ski for you, but what kind of ski, is easier.
Meniscus, wasn't it? That's a kinda slow mender. Lots of time to jack it so a slow ramp up will get you stronger, faster.

After the knee scraping, what you don't want to do is jack your knee in a bad direction....
