I know you say zero issues, and it sounds like your shells might be on the longer side if you are using a size smaller liner, BUT, if you are feeling like your toes are tight, I would look at moving some cork from behind your ankle bones and beside your achilles. The workhorse is very high volume for...

Tighter side to side in the ankle. Bigger front to back, but not a lot.
Heel cup is tight but in a good way, it doesn't crush heel spurs. It's also very easy to work on....

I'm just fitting myself up for the Remedy right now. The Ultra is basically made for my foot, I just need a tiny big toe punch, a tiny 6th toe, and a tiny styloid punch. The rest is basically perfect. Really, if I didn't have shitty nerves in my foot, just the big toe punch. I don't ski that boot though,...

Still nothing to get excited about on a ski nerd website. We tried them on at the show, and we all found they forced pronation. Seemed to be because the lateral rear foot is much stiffer than the medial side. Stoked they worked for you though. Definitely nicer material than a Superfeet....

Because zipfit being a fully custom, premium liner with a huge lifespan is revolutionary. Them making an over the shelf, not custom, not premium footbed is not exciting.

Ah. That context sounds less reckless. I’d generally say 15. If she has bigger calves, 13 might be nice....

That's good to hear. My main concern was that you might dive into things like forward lean too early. Getting some miles on a boot is always great if the person feels they can ski a day (or half) in them as is, and we've ruled out any really bad issues....

I'm concerned you don't know much about bootfitting (no offense, I know nothing about a lot of stuff) and you might be setting her out on a bad foot (pun intended). I'm not sure why you are looking to tackle her forward lean adjustment (a rarer thing to actually change) when you don't know what an adjustable...

Curious about the intermittent heating… is that because you are using a higher heat setting? On our makita guns I go low and slow (set at 5) and it never damages the shell, and heats thoroughly.

jerrygrinder as for punching met heads, that’s the easiest type of width expansion as you...

These are flat, 5mm thick and come in a variety of sizes. Lightweight, some compression but meant for under your foot.

  • I’m heading to Myoko this January. I normally ski on Anima with MTNs. Will be touring the whole time. Or at least skiing touring gear the whole time. Lots of people are saying bring even bigger skis. So I will bring a second. I’ve got a Dispatch 120 and ARGs both drilled for MTN. Realistically they...

Some do, which is wild. Some charge for installing cork, on top of the cork price.

We include two tubes of cork with the liner. All labour involved with those liners you purchased is free for the life of the liner. Obv if you have 1000 days on them and need tons of work, we will have a...

Personally. I think it would be silly to buy without seeing it or trying it on. That being said, Zipfit does a great job of their products. The question is, is this product for you. It’s lower volume than the stock liner. I’d wager it’s lighter as well. But you could juice up those ankle pockets....

That’s an interesting combo. I assume you already own the cortex? Sounds like the shell doesn’t fit you so well. Have you ever put a Dobermann 5 on your foot?...

Not sure. Valid question. I can tell you that it has no neoprene or pleather. The material used is much like an intuition. I would call it a low volume intuition with minimal cork at its published weights. It will be super light but still have more substantial material to actually hold you (cork) unlike...
