I definitely don't know the finances of Wolf Creek. They did set a record for skiers on Dec. 29 over 6500. So hopefully that and presidents day will provide. But businesses are hurting. My girlfriends short term rentals in Pagosa are down over 50%. But she is fully booked for presidents day weekend.... -
Thanks, appreciate that info. Did not know about the Aosta valley pass. Will definitely check that outLeave a comment:

I am trying to plan a trip to Aosta valley. Thinking a week in La Thuile and a week in Monterosa. La Thuile seems like smaller area good aspect and they have a decent base. close to Courmayeur and mont Blanc. Thought Monterosa would be good as it has a pass that covers a lot of areas. It looks like...Leave a comment:

I was wondering if there is anyone who lives around Tahoe City that could look at an RV for me. Will gladly compensate. Just mainly look for damage....Leave a comment:

beaterdit appreciate your comments on Wolf Creek. I am here to ski and really do not know or pay attention to resort politics. I don't know Davey other than I spent a day touring the expansion area with him and it was a fun day of backcountry skiing and I found it interesting hearing his family history....😎 1Leave a comment:

i guess 13 points is enough when the other team only has the ball for 22 minutes. I enjoyed the game. No stupid penalties. Two well coached teams. Seattle looks solid. Same amount of yards passing as running good defense....Leave a comment:

i don't know what motivates people to do FKTs. I do know this guy pretty well. I know he is not cutting any corners. I am pretty sure he is motivated by the challenge, adventure and the experience of accomplishment in the mountains.
also when he skied Pioneer he went to the summit even...Leave a comment:

They fired up the snowcat. Skied untracked off the ridge. Below the cat track is still a little rough with dead fall. Nice day out I left tired. Showed up at 8:30 to make sure I got a parking place. They did over 7000 skiers the other day. Not sure if the 7400 record was broken. This could be the second...

easy question I want to buy my girlfriend a bike. I was thinking a Pivot Mach 4. They seem light and that they would be a good trail bike for a 68 year old women. found this one on pink bike .https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/4126014/
she is on an old aluminum Giant with two chain rings. I would...Leave a comment:

thanks for your response. I had been through that area a few years back and saw the development. Not to make this political but my MAGA friend just saw that area for the first time recently. He was attributing all the growth to Trump. My thought was that anything being built now would of had to been...Leave a comment:

californiagrown i was wondering. after a decision to build something like the Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada is made how long does it take till ground is actually broken? How long does the design, permitting, financing phase take?Leave a comment:

Yes I understand what you are saying and I certainly do not know all the facts. I read through the CDOT hwy standards and based on the increased traffic the access needs to be upgraded. In the case of the truck stop the platted access was never off the hwy. When they subdivided they platted the access...Leave a comment:

Wolf creek has been packed the last two days. Drove up yesterday road was empty. Got to the entrance and the traffic was lined up over the pass with pagosa traffic. Bailed and went for a tour. Heard it was an hour to get parked. The ski area is actually skiing ok and with the new snow they had a good...
