I won't attempt to speak out of my ass about heel hold, I have three years in the Peaks and three minutes in the Blacklights 2. I would assume they have the same heel fit as the Ridge but use a buckle instead of the Ridge's smallish boa....

Minor thread drift, but I just tried the Blacklight 2.0 (aka the Ridgelight) in a shop and was very impressed. Felt like a tongue-less and BOA-less Ridge. More ROM than the Ridge, fit better on my medium height in-step but still has the same no play in ski mode like other Hoji-lock boots.
