This is literally what the Woo2 was designed for. Long enough days skinning where the Protest was too much to haul around, and excelling in funked out 3D snow.
I got mine thirdhand (maybe fourthhand?) and since having kids I only tour like 2-3 days a season vs 20-30 pre kids … so I only...

The Yeti is 94mm and 182 or 192, I never had one but I’m guessing straight pull was like 180.5 and 190.5?
I bet that thing is a 187 Concept, which is 115 underfoot!
Weren’t both the 187 Woo and 187 Woo2 113 underfoot? The Woo2 supposedly had a more slender tapered tip and less...Last edited by SchralphMacchio; Yesterday, 09:30 AM.Leave a comment:

Oh baby, 120 Teams!
I threw a pair of 120s on in the shop today after dropping off skis for some work. The 120 Coretexes are a legit hefty TPU boot right in your hands.
At store temp, they are definitely much more stout and flex stiffer than my Recon Pro/Teams with the cuff...👍 1Leave a comment:

Yeah we’ll see. Dodgers haven’t had great luck with acquired closers. Kimbrel was a disaster. Scott wasn’t any better.
Kelly and Trienen played huge roles over the recent era of Dodgers success, but probably they should both retire - I think Roberts has destroyed Trienen’s shoulder.Leave a comment:

Nice. How much do you weigh?
15 passes? Wow.
I did get Blizzard/Nordica USA to cover the cost of a Jupiter tune for me with edge high Rustlers years ago.
I haven’t been on the new 104s, just the old 104 Frees, but for the west coast, especially any of the west slope and lower elevation...Leave a comment:

Thanks Jon!
I was trying to figure out the various replacement permutation options. It’s been a low priority for me since I still have a set of alpine boots I can use with these Armada Tracer 118s and Lord SPs....Leave a comment:

Sole ID version? Or pre Sole ID?
And would that just entail remounting the toe and reusing the existing plate? Or were there any changes to the worm gear?
Thanks! I’ve got a semi decent pair of pow skis I can only ski with one set of boots right now!...Leave a comment:

Larger BSLs will feel less difference in ramp than shorter BSLs, and I also assert that more heavily rockered and less cambered skis will feel more difference than skis with longer camber contact length.
I’ve also realized that I’ve become very sensitive to mount point optimization...Leave a comment:

WTB: cheap old tech bindings
Cheap and old - because,
these are going on super old / poor geometry waxless 90-waisted skis. In fact I’m not even sure if I will ever throw skins on them, so these will see somewhat limited vert and be used more to cover ground and literally meadow skip. Under my 140 lbs, maybe 160 maybe... -
No one talking about the Spesh X 2 Chainz collab?
Spesh and 2 Chainz lighting it up
Actually I think this looks pretty interesting, and if I rode in the bike park I would want to try this thing.

As another snowboarding dad whose body is catching up with Father Time, fairly behind Buzz …
For a soft sunny day versatile and fun as hell ski, maybe don’t leave the Blizzard Rustler 9 off your list.
I haven’t actually tried the 9s (old or current) yet, and I do own the old...Leave a comment:

Yeah, like 5 mm compared to 2.5mm on a Pivot GW. I had a set of skis I loved with Pivot Dual WTR/Alpine bindings (2 mm delta), mounted them with Duke PTs only 7mm forward of the Pivot mount and hated feeling like I was falling over the tips and overdriving the skis.
Instead of remounting them,...Leave a comment:

I’m skate curious.
How are skate shoes sized?
My hard and soft sole bike shoes are 42.5.
My alpine and AT boots are 25.5, which I think would be more like a EU40.5.
My tele boots are 26.5 but I use those for slow backcountry nordic.Leave a comment:

Who has a hookup for Strive 13D plates?
Figured I had to ask. My local shop says Amer won’t sell them any.
I would absolutely love to be able to buy 2-3 more sets of Strive 13D plates … I know I’ve got a better chance just buying cheap rental fleet skis and ripping the bindings off of them …
I finally got... -
Ahh. All good to know.
I no longer have family in Tucson.
And it’s been waaaay too long since I’ve pedaled outside of Hurricane/Virgin. One time I remember surfing my Forester through that wet sandy clay coming up Goose from the Apple Valley side after a rain, another time I remember...Leave a comment:

Right on. I’ve always ever blasted through Vegas on my way to pedal/hike/canyoneer St G/Zion area … but I’ve long been curious about the trails on the west side of town. Didn’t realize that there are cool riding trails on the southeast side too!Leave a comment:
