Of course, computer picks this time to do a system update and reboot.

Winds today meant a few broken and downed trees.
First one was a huge branch that broke off. Part of it was blocking the trail and was easy to cut out. The remainder which you can see in the second pic is bigger than what I can cut out. It's easy to go around so not urgent to remove....Leave a comment:

Worked a couple more nights this week
Cleaned out some more drains. Most of the trail has dried up but this upper part still had standing water.

Extra suction getting these big cobbles out means there is a seep. By the time you get it out, the hole is filled with goopy mud.
Excavate a small trench angled down to the outslope. Next step, gather rock and fill in. Water already starting to flow in this one....Leave a comment:

Back to the reroute project as it's got better dirt for soon after rain.
The pruning saw impressively cut this chunk of old tree right out. Might have burned up the chain...needs sharpening now at minimum!

Dunno, never noticed that promo thing. 125 is the new box I bought a few weeks ago since 145 box was nearly empty. Looking in my cupboard I have a box of freezer bags with the same promo but dated 6/1/09. I can guarantee you I haven't had that box since 09....Leave a comment:
