Another Lowelifes trail work campout this weekend in the San Gabriel Mtns above LA. This area in the Eaton Fire one year ago, almost to the day. We hiked or biked in to the Mt Lowe trail camp. Then it was a 1 mile bike ride in to the first big washout, and another mile and a half hike in to the work...

I've got a drop down menu to change between forum styles at the bottom of each page.

Switched to dark mode. I like the color pattern better than white, but its a narrow format that leaves 6" border on either side of the screen vs the white style in which the forum takes up the whole...

Of course, computer picks this time to do a system update and reboot.

All the tabs that I had open in chrome, re-opened in Microsoft edge. And it changed my default search from google to...

It's super annoying when people do that ^^. Especially when there isn't much material to block the line with....

Winds today meant a few broken and downed trees.

First one was a huge branch that broke off. Part of it was blocking the trail and was easy to cut out. The remainder which you can see in the second pic is bigger than what I can cut out. It's easy to go around so not urgent to remove....

Worked a couple more nights this week

Cleaned out some more drains. Most of the trail has dried up but this upper part still had standing water.





Got the new re-route finished up and both ends connected. Old line comes in on the right here. ...

I love it how anytime I search for instructions on how to find or change a setting on a phone or computer, what I see on the device doesn't match instructions. In this case the Google ad ID.

Extra suction getting these big cobbles out means there is a seep. By the time you get it out, the hole is filled with goopy mud.




Excavate a small trench angled down to the outslope. Next step, gather rock and fill in. Water already starting to flow in this one....
