I had trab Stelvio Lights that I found on here a long time ago. 88ish underfoot and I skied them with Mercury boots, so a similar combo to what you're looking at. It was fun -

But if your narrower ski is bought in a normal length for you and is stiff enough, it'll probably feel really nice with the heavier boots. Especially in corn. A 1500g boot isn't that heavy.

It's certainly possible that the skis will just feel too light and twitchy with a heavy boot like that. Def get something stiff enough.
If the newer Maestrale RS fits your feet, I've found the F1 GT/XT line works well for me too, and it skis awesome with a light setup like that.Leave a comment:

I finally got my 110s mounted up and skied them in powder 2 days last weekend. I thought over the mount point and, given my past preference for traditional style skis and big feet, mounted at the -2 line.
We had super deep and fairly light (for the cascades) powder conditions on Friday....Leave a comment:

I've been rubbing badger balm into my feet the night before to soften the skin then do body glide on the foot in the morning before putting on my ski socks. This reduces the friction. I usually get a few blisters there early in the season then they go away once my skin toughens. It's worst for me when...Leave a comment:
