  • I’m 5’7”, 170 lbs and am on the 180 FR110 a ton of days, and have skied the 180 HB122 v1….both are good sizes for me.

The HB122 looks “big” when I’m standing in the Creekside gondy line in the am….they’re over my head, but they don’t feel big when skiing centered (I...

Love the new topsheet. It will make me think of my buddy Gaijin.

I've owned many skis that are likely similar in specs and purpose to the AM118...part chargy and part surfy…..eg Moment Bibby, Icelantic Nomad 115, Line Optic 114, Dynastar Proto 118, Rustler 11, BC Anima 115 ...these are all good skis with approx. the same specs/purpose as the AM118. They all rip,...

    Hey kid,

I’ve already paid for the HB135 but now think I want the HB122 and AM118 combo instead. Cause ya the 135 is hard to justify…. but science is important too.

The AM118 specs look similar to a Moment Bibby/Wildcat?

I’m thinking +1 cm on the AM118 (-5.8cm) would be sweet for a short bsl.

And now thinking that a HB122v2 and AM118 combo is more useful than HB122/HB135.

  • I remember getting the early 105mm Gotama’s and everyone said it was way too wide inbounds.

I’ve skied a 132mm Moment Comi inbounds on deep days at Mt Baker.

We had a Whitewater day a few years ago with +62cm in 12 hours…the HB135 is for those kind of days inbounds....

  • I like the new HB122 topsheet. I guess it’s time to send Marshal another $1,300CDN. It’s an investment in deferred happiness.

I think the 2026 HL portion of my ~9 ski quiver will be:

    1. HB135 (for Whitewater deep days and I’m gonna hit Japan in the next few years),...

  • I just ordered the 182cm HB135. I owned a 132mm 182cm Moment Comi way back.

My son has “stolen” my HB122v1’s and won’t give them back. May need to get me the HB122 v2’s.

Thanks for all you do Marshal.

  • Marshal speaks the truth. I’ve been skiing rockered 4FRNT Ravens and Hojis on hard pack at Whistler for years, since the original Pilsner Hoji came out in 2013. Previous to the 4FRNTs I was always on the Rossignol Sickle or Faction Royale/Candide 5.0. I just like rocker on wide skis and find that...

Re leather Workhorse vs neoprene Freeride comparison. I paid $589CDN for the Freerides and feel its money well spent. Both the Workhorse and...

I've been skiing in Zipfit Workhorse leather liners in Nordica Strider 120 boots the last two seasons. The Strider soles are getting thrashed and I picked up a pair of Dalbello Lupo AX HD 120 boots from the The Last Hunt for a good deal n summer.

I love the Workhorse leather liner, and...

  • Hey Gaijin,

Ya the FR110 eats up dust on crust. They surf, slash, then bite with ease. Skiing the FR110 fast is like being in a video game as Marshal says.

I’m not positive that the HL AM100 is the little brother to the FR110/R110? I found the AM100 less maneuverable and...

    Love my FR110’s!

I love when we agree Gaijin.

Agreed the FR110 (or its sibling the R110) plus a Renegade is a perfect soft snow, 2-ski quiver.

Note I’ve had 4 (non-pow) ski days so far this season …and 3 of the days were on the FR110 (and 1 day onLine Bacon 108’s). The FR110 is...

We're heading to Whitewater for our annual 2 weeks over Xmas…looks like WW is getting a decent amount of snow right now and into next week.

184 Pilsner Renegades and 180 FR 110’s in the truck (out of 10 pairs that I own). Show me a better 2 ski quiver for the Powder Highway when it’s...
