Try reading some threads that are about something you actually know something about and can therefore make a positive contribution to the community. That's the point. Or go to the padded room, find some NSFW threads and post some nekkid pictures of your sister/wife/gf/self. That'll earn you points quickly.

So you know, this policy is 1) to prevent people from joining and then just spamming members, and 2) to discourage idiots from just joining to try to get some great deal on a piece of gear while not making any positive contribution to the community.
