Your 5 most beautiful places in the lower 48

"The San Juans are definitely one of the top 5 most beautiful places in the lower 48" stolen from Xover.

    2. Tetons

    3. coast of Maine

    4. Northern VT on the Long Trail - early fall

there's some pretty cool stuff down in Moab. I like all the red rock with the snowy La Sals in the background. Definitely a bunch of cool views off Porcupine Rim (maybe the fear of falling off the really huge cliff that comes within 15 feet of the trail makes the views that much better)

edit: I guess that's only one. Oh fucking well.

                      In no particular order......

                      Big Bend

Red River, NM - In the Fall

There is a spot on the Missouri River where you cross a bridge heading over a gorge inbetween these massive hills. It looks as though someone just reached down and carved out the area with the palm of their hand.

                      Bitter Creek Trail Area CO

Western Montana at dusk with the sun setting behind yellowstone.

adding just a few more honerable mentions.

TN when the mist is on the road.
                      NE PA in the Fall
