Once you navigate the moat and all the early season boobie traps there is some good snow up high. Go get some!

That's a very nice looking tip shot. Good way to start the new season thread.

Louise was skiing nicely today. Saddleback & Rodney's Ridge area opened up and had lots of soft turns. Big jump sesh on leap frog.

Another great day out there using the rewards of the upslope weather system we are experiencing….skiing well treeline and above. Skiing extremely defensive below tree-line… further east u go the more snow…

          nice:

lake was skiing well yesterday, and with summit open we are setting up well. Nice to be out making some turns..

Side note: I'm back at Pulse bootfitting in banff if anyone needs some work done, and we also need another staff. Personality/customer service is needed. I can train the boot stuff to someone nice, but only room for ONE grumpy old man (me)

Norqy was thin! But we made it up and down! Less snow more west. I didn’t get the probe out but probably 20-30cm in the shade. 10 or less in the sun…lol. Still skied ok thx to the awesome work of the summer trail crew. Not going to make that mistake again…

Holy shit, talk about easy access to lightening and Cimo's. Sick. The cat terrain itself I thought a bit mellow but this will take some pressure off red chair for sure.

Fernie kicked off the season with an opening day that felt more like mid-February than late November. Most of the mountain was open and coverage was very good.

Best opening day we have had in memory for me. Enough of a crowd that it was tracked out my lunch but I skied every minute of it.

                      Pain cave today!

edit - if anyone saw me on bright orange noctas cartwheel on lift line at white pass..................preseason jitters? lol

So did anybody get out to SSV or Louise over the weekend? Looks like the warm storm did a bit of a refresh and I hope its made more of the rocks go to sleep. Hoping to sneak out of work Tuesday. Thanks

Was at SSV on Friday. Pretty tracked out, but still some pow if you want to work for it. Not much though! Definitely lots of sharks then, but storm wouldve given a little bit more cover.

And also may be an option when the wind doesn't allow red to open at all.
