Wasatch Parking / Driving / Gondola/ Bus / How does my Ikon Pass work?

Yes, its confusing to park in the Wasatch and figure out a plan to ski here, we get it. You have probably been asked in the stoke thread to take your logistic question here. Because it's boring and messing up that other thread. Below will be individual posts on each resort with general info, feel free to ask specific questions after reading the resort info we contributed to.

Also gripe about the Gondola here and be the 1000 person to tell us that a cog train should be built instead.

      SNOWBIRD PARKING AND LOGISTICS
      https://www.snowbird.com/parking-faq/

      Carpool Lot is (4+)

Parking reservations can be made in the Lower Gad Valley or Pond Preferred Parking Lots. Spots are available to purchase in advance online. Missed reservations are non-refundable. Reservations can be refunded via the Parkwhiz app by 7 am day of. I have no idea how much it costs

Preferred Parking Pass for the season is $1100 year and you don't have to make reservations, you just show up. Sold out. This goes until 1pm which makes me think anyone can park in these lots after 1pm. Also Additional preferred parking spots will be available for purchase in the Lower Gad Valley Lot on a first-come, first-served basis as inventory is available - I'll find out how much.

                SNOWBASIN PARKING AND LOGISTICS

No reservations needed. parking is free. New this year: if you have an Ikon pass, Go to the 'L' lot and wait for the gate/chain to open. A free shuttle will take you to the resort from there.

Weekend powder days can mean bumper-to-bumper for miles, be warned. Weekdays too. Assholes will use the chain area to skip everyone in line. It's fun.

Free ski bus info is here: (schedule coming soon)

Ikoners need a Premiere pass, your broke ass can't ski at Snowbasin with a Base Pass.

Was there ever a follow up announcement from UTA about what in the actual fuck the deal is with the ski bus this season? I didn't see anything after that town hall meeting happened.

I recently heard the traffic in the canyons has gotten worse. Any truth to that?

It's usually at it's worst during ski season.
