    Martha Stewart Yurt Living

i need your help mags. i'm taking stbmrstgapp on her first yurt trip this weekend, and this is as good a time as any to step up my game & leave her wanting more, just like my girl martha would.

so - help me do this up nicer than an alderson federal prison cell. what are the best meal ideas, must have yurt hacks (paper plates, lots of powerbanks, Bluetooth speaker, etc), yurt cocktails, bdsm play scenarios (bonus points if they involve me in martha stewart drag), and martha & snoop smoking shenanigans?

your input greatly appreciated, thanks all

All of your ideas are primo! The one big thing that hits me is the importance of keeping it simple. The simpler that it is, The less stressed out you'll be and able to enjoy the experience with The Missus.
My most enjoyable mixed company yurt trips were focused on good food and simple fun.

Do as much prep work at home for dinners and pre freeze and pack them in ziplocks. Mrs. B has been quite pleased with frozen chili or marinaded steaks. We also live a life that is much more boring than Martha Stewart bdsm so take that with a grain of salt.

Also if you are bringing eggs(not hers you sicko!) then precrack them into a water bottle.

And bring twice the amount of warm drink fixings as you think is necessary. I drink a helluva lot more tea and cocoa at a yurt/hut than at home.

Less is More: unplug and leave all batteries at home except avy beacon and inreach.

Bring a candle-powered fondue set for chocolate dipped fruit and naughtybits. Take turns trying to light the fondue candle with another lit one gripped in the orifice of your choice while dressed as Martha Stewart.

I'm a big fan of pre-made dinners that are vaacum sealed and frozen(enchiladas etc). Boil in bag on stove and hardly any dishes, unless doing dishes in Martha drag while she whips you is an option.

But the real question is whether the fartbag is making the trip?

where can i find some good boil in a bag recipes? enchiladas sound dope, would love to hear some other no/low mess options

I'll ditch all other electronics but I do like music, and since I'm not very musical a speaker is nice

These are all really good ideas, I may steal some. We were very proud of getting two Costco cartons of eggs to a 10th mtn hut with only one casualty, but the water bottle would have been so much easier.

If she likes cheese, one of my favorite ever purchases was a little candle operated raclette set, it also works on chill hikes if you want to have a fancy lunch https://a.co/d/eGeUMO6

A lot easier than cheese fondue (although I have done wilderness fondue on sea kayaking trips).

Also hot toddys and whiskey hot chocolate

Prepare as much as possible in advance. Weed infused olive oil and/or butter always goes a long way to prepare a first-class Snoop Dogg meal. I'm thinking weed infused mac n cheese, or a nice tenderloin doused in infused butter. I have great recipes for things like [weed infused] bananas foster, pesto, sweet potato skins, roasted veggies. I have recipes for all this curtesy of Bong Appetit. Pam makes amazing marinaded camping meals. Made in advance tikka Masala or other chicken curry dishes are easily packable and tasty.

Toss your i-phone in a solo cup to horn load it. That's my backpacking music rig.

I like vacuum packed marinated steak. You can pre-cook and vacuum pack potatoes, also. Use the leftover steak and leftover potatoes along with pre-scrambled eggs (in a Gatorade bottle) for breakfast. I've also made French toast with the scrambled egg mix (though I add some cream and cinnamon when I'm doing that). If you bring some sour dough for french toast, bring some brie and salami for a snack. Bacon reheats really well, just saying. Trail mix is my favorite snack in the woods. Salted/flavored nuts are good, too.

Hot chocolate is clutch. My drink of choice is good rum with a squeeze of lemon. Amazing hot or cold.

Have fun! My wife's idea of time in the back country is going out to the Ritz in a snowstorm.
