Methinks upper Ski Slope also would be good, just getting there might be a chore unless you skin…
I should have read further before commenting. There have been a few storms where Ski Slope was abandoned for days. All of the laps you want. You can even ditch from upper onto the ski hill if you poach a couple of yards.

I used to ski from the top back to my front door without stepping out of my bindings. Skin up. Ski down. It's several miles of skiing.

My mom sometimes teaches cooking and sewing at a middle school in CA.

Virginia Lakes: powderwhore in the mammoth thread posted pics from a recent trip to the cat skiing ops. Looked like terrain that was <30 and out of harms way (but hard to judge from photos), but would royally suck in white out. The operators response to simply trust them is questionable.

Should be interesting night on i80 for those that are stuck. Hopefully, not too bad for them. NWS is still taking about a lot of snow overnight.

There was 27" on the road in Tahoma at 1:30. pretty much exactly what was hyped up to that point. I also went for a tour. For the most part I was only skiing the top foot as there was a pretty stout crust there.
we are now in the meat of the storm and i'm pretty certain tomorrow everyone will be stuck in their respective neighbourhoods for the day. It's 27 degrees but still falling so hard that there's no way to call it blower yet, not that it matters, yet.

Except that both should include contracts that spell out a clear cancellation policy. If that was the case from a legal standpoint the answer should be clear. From a business standpoint, what the cancellation policy should be is debatable.

As expected Palisades threw in the towel again for today. No power in Alpine Meadows Valley since last night and the house is shaking in the wind gusts.

Woke up at 2am after stoking the fire I looked out the window and was still unimpressed by g to the magnitude of this storm. Drinking coffee now looking at the amount of snow I need to clear this morning, seems this storm is starting to live up to the hype.

Oh, well you were "ok" with schools teaching how to cook. Tell us more. We're all dying to hear more insightful thoughts on how schools should be run. What's your teaching or admin experience again?

Can anyone teach me how to sew some tire socks? Waze says I can take 89 to 395 to Green Creek Road to get to some reservations I have. I hear there is some fresh snow there. I have a Subaru so I’ll be okay: extra colors means extra traction, but I want some socks just in case.

Estimating we've had 30" + at my house so far. Storm has delivered as forecast... I was hoping for less at the house. This is just a PITA at this point.

I would say the storm has definitely delivered, a day late for the old school snow totals, and last night was windy AF gust of 50 my gage said. so the drifts are chest deep in spots.
